I’m an American writer living in Edinburgh with my cats, my children and my husband. (This is the order in which the cats prefer to be mentioned.)
I grew up in New England and lived in Boston and San Francisco before settling in the U.K. You can see a really unfortunate childhood photo of me that I unwisely decided to publish in an international newspaper here.
My debut novel, Housebreaking, was published in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand in 2022, and in translation in 2023. I’m working on a new book about four teenage girls sent to a crumbling industrial school for juvenile delinquents in 1970s New England.
