I'm a fool for paper and ephemera.
In an MLIS program, I stuck to the archives, created a zine archive and wrote a paper (and a zine) on zine collections in public libraries. I still buy zines at City Lights, and following that same thread of strange and extraordinary printed objects, I loved finding The Honest Pint in the mail. A mail-only subscription series edited by the excellent poet Matthew Dickman (who will never live down the "They're twins! And they're poets!" New Yorker article), the monthly delivery includes poetry paired with a prose piece, and its first issue included an essay on Margaret Cavendish, an exceptional woman and writer.
