Seventy people braved the blistering July heat to sit with us for a couple of hours and listen to stories. With cold lager and the occasional breeze, we somehow muddled through.
"The Flack"
"Sukia was the star. Half Russian, she looked like a doll with big lashy eyes that might blink if you tilted her. We repped her through her first crisis, when she left the show before her contract ended and the producers leaked how terribly she’d treated people on set."
Here's "The Flack," a short-short of mine published in the UEA Anthology
Reading in London, 20 July
With two friends from University of East Anglia's MA in prose, I've organized a reading of new works from emerging writers at SLAM King's Cross on 20th July at 7 p.m.
Nine talented readers, seriously fresh short stories and novels, and a drinks break between sets because there's a bar. I'm reading a bit from the draft of my novel, Domestication.
